We use the standard grading system adapted by most dealers and by the leading postcard hobby publications in the field. M - Mint This is a perfect card just as though it was right off the printing press. No marks, bends, writing, postmarks or creases. NM - Near Mint This card also should not have any marks, bends, writing, postmarks or creases but can show very light aging or discoloration from being in an album. EX - Excellent As the grades above an excellent card should not have any bends, creases, rounded or blunt corners but may be postally used with writing and a postmark. Picture side should be clean and fresh. VG - Very Good This grade allows slight rounded or blunt corners and perhaps an undetectable crease or bend that does not detract from overall appearance on the picture side. Cards in this grade may have writing or postmarks. G - Good These cards may have more noticeable blunt or rounded corners with noticeable slight bends or creases. These cards may have writing or postmarks. FR - Fair Card may have excess soil, stains, creases, writing or cancellations which effect the picture side. Although not part of the standard we also use : Poor A card in poor condition may have many creases and stains or perhaps trimmed.
