The Mohawk Trail
Work was begun on the trail in September, 1912 and was finished in November, 1914, taking over two years before the trail was opened to the public. Whitcomb Summit, which is the highest point on the trail, is 2172 feet above sea level. The Western Summit is 2009 feet above sea level and the distance between the two summits is two miles.
