Located at the confluence of the Big Niangua and Osage Rivers, commanding a magnificent view of the Lake of the Ozarks.
From this cliff, Winona, an Indian maiden sister of Chief Marabo, Delaware tribe, leaped to her death while being pursued by Chief Okema (Eagle Eye) and his warriors of the Osage gribe. When Minetus her lover, saw her leaping, he became enraged and a battle between his comrades and the Osage warriors ensued. During this battle Chief Okema and Minetus grappled with each other and fell from the precipice to their death.
