The dwellers of Shaker Village were a race of smiling, happy workers in those by-gone years. To this day the splendid old houses - some over one hundred years old - flag-stone walks and many mementos still extant, are mute witness to the truth that the Shakers builded not on sand. Between Lexington and Harrodsburg on U.S. 68.
