Here he prepares to exercise by "pumping iron", part of his physical regimen that acts as a tonic and "refreshes both the body and midn." In the Parade Sunday Newspaper supplement, Reagan authored (with pictures) an 1,800 word cover story "How to Stay Fit." With a body that is evidence he takes care of himself, Reagan pumps iron and walks a treadmill in daily workouts of 25 minutes every evening in his White House exercise room.
