Actress Patti Davis, 31, and Yoga Instructor Paul Grilley, 25, are married in a traditional ceremony at the Los Angeles Hotel Bel Air. President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy came down from their Santa Barbara ranch to give their daughter away and meet the new in-laws. Terrence and Donna Grilley. 180 police and federal agents looked out as 134 guests looked on to see the couple exchange gold bands (Patti's had 5 diamonds). Nancy, in buttercup colored short dress and matching shoes, helped the President toast the newly-weds, saying, "May they know this kind of joy for the rest of their lives." August 14, 1984.
